LOS SEIS TEATROS MÁS EMBLEMÁTICOS DE LA CIUDAD DE MÉXICO

 

  1. Polyforum Siqueiros

Uno de los pocos teatros del mundo que conserva la forma circular al estilo griego. Fue construido y decorado por David Alfaro Siqueiros en los años sesenta y tiene uno de los murales más grandes del mundo llamado “La marcha de la humanidad”.

 

  1. Teatro Bellas Artes

El palacio de Bellas Artes ubicado en el Centro Histórico de la CDMX alberga uno de los teatros más espectaculares del país. Podría decirse que es la casa máxima de la expresión artística en México. Fue declarado monumento artístico en 1987 por la UNESCO.

 

  1. Teatro Metropólitan

Este teatro ubicado en el centro de la ciudad se dedica principalmente a la realización de obras de teatro, conciertos y recitales de baile. Cada año es la sede del Festival Internacional de Jazz en la Ciudad de México y en varias ocasiones lo ha sido del festival MUTEK.

 

  1. Centro Cultural del Bosque

Forma parte del complejo cultural de teatros públicos que pertenecen al Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes (INBA). Alberga varios foros para la realización de obras de teatro, danza y más; se encuentra en Chapultepec.

 

  1. Teatro de la Ciudad Esperanza Iris

Sin duda alguna uno de los edificios más bellos de toda la CDMX, se encuentra en el Centro Histórico de la Ciudad de México en la antigua calle de Donceles. Fue construido a principios del siglo XX y vale la pena acudir a cualquier evento solo para conocer el recinto.

 

  1. Teatro Insurgentes

Localizado en la colonia San José Insurgentes, fue construido con la iniciativa de José María Dávila con la idea de crear una sala de grandes dimensiones. Actualmente es el teatro con más funciones al año en la ciudad.

One of the few theatres in the world that preserves its Greek-style circular shape. Built and decorated by David Alfaro Siqueiros in 1960, it has one of the biggest murals called “La marcha de la humanidad”.

The Palace of Fine Arts is located in the historic center of Mexico City and houses one of the most amazing theaters of the country. You could say it is the house of the ultimate artistic expression in Mexico. It was declared an historic artistic monument in 1987 by UNESCO.

Located in the downtown area, it is commonly used for theatre performances, concerts and dance recitals. Each year it hosts the International Jazz Festival in Mexico City and in several occasions the MUTEK Festival.

 

  1. Centro Cultural del Bosque

Located in Chapultepec, this cultural center is part of the natural complex of public theatres that belongs to the National Institute of Bellas Artes (INBA). It holds several forums for the conduct of theatre plays, dance recitals, and more.

 

  1. Teatro de la Ciudad Esperanza Iris

Without a doubt it is one of the most beautiful buildings in Mexico; it is located in the historic center of Mexico City, in the well-known street of Donceles. It was built in the beginning of the 20th century and the compound is so amazing it is totally worth a visit to any of its events.

 

  1. Insurgentes Theatre

Located in the neighborhood of San José Insurgentes, it was built by José María Dávila with the idea to create a very large theatre. Today it is one of the theatres with most features in Mexico City.
